About Mahamectin
Mahamectin is an insecticide that contains the active ingredient Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG from the avermectin group. It is mainly used in the control of caterpillars and lepidopteran pests in a few crops. The insecticide has contact, stomach and translaminar activity to help the active compound to reach pests feeding on treated leaf surfaces. Emamectin Benzoate interferes with the insect's nervous system after it is exposed, causing it to become paralyzed and to stop eating. Mahamectin is especially effective on pests like bollworms, fruit and shoot borers, pod borers and diamondback moth. Can be applied as foliar spray at the registered product rates as per the crop and pest specific instructions.
Key Benefits
Effective against the important caterpillar and lepidopteran pests.
Offers stomach and contact action, which is important for good pest control.
Translaminar activity can be used to help suppress pests on the leaf surface.
* Makes feeding stop quickly following exposure to pests.
Applicable to a number of field and vegetable crops.
