About Marvex
Marvex is a combination insecticide containing Emamectin Benzoate 2.2% + Permethrin 15.3% EC. It combines the insecticidal activity of an avermectin with the rapid contact and stomach action of a pyrethroid, making it suitable for managing susceptible caterpillar and lepidopteran pests. Emamectin Benzoate acts on the insect nervous system and causes paralysis and cessation of feeding after exposure. Permethrin acts primarily on voltage-gated sodium channels in insect nerve cells, resulting in rapid knockdown and loss of normal nerve function. The combination provides complementary activity against pests such as bollworms, fruit borers, shoot borers and other caterpillars. The EC formulation is diluted with water and applied as a foliar spray to obtain uniform coverage of the crop.
