About Phendal 50 EC
Phendal 50 EC is an insecticide containing Phenthoate 50% EC, an organophosphate insecticide used for the management of susceptible insect pests. Phenthoate primarily acts through contact and stomach action and affects the insect nervous system by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. This disruption interferes with normal nerve impulse transmission, resulting in loss of coordination, paralysis and death of susceptible insects. The emulsifiable concentrate formulation is diluted with water and applied as a foliar spray, allowing the active ingredient to reach pests present on crop foliage. Phendal 50 EC is suitable for use against selected chewing and other insect pests in crops where its use is registered. Application should be timed according to pest incidence and the crop-specific label recommendation to obtain effective control while minimizing unnecessary pesticide exposure.
